DE's Business Lab: Celebrate 90 years of Henry Schein

Nov. 18, 2022
Stan Bergman of Henry Schein takes a few minutes to catch listeners up on a bit of history and some of the latest developments at Henry Schein, which is celebrating 90 years.

I had the privilege of spending a few minutes with Stan Bergman, president and CEO of Henry Schein, to talk about the company's 90 years in dentistry.

He said a major move that further established Henry Schein in the dental world was issuing the first catalogue of its products in the 1990s, in which the company was the first to publish prices. They followed that with automated distribution of their products.

He said Henry Schein was among one of the first companies to encourage dentists to purchase PCs for practice management systems that would help their practices run more smoothly. He’s most proud of the team's engagement with their communities, particularly through the Give Kids a Smile program, which Henry Schein cofounded.

What's next for Henry Schein, and how are they celebrating their 90th anniversary? Tune in to hear what we discuss as we celebrate one of dentistry's most influential companies.
