The ADA is opposing pending campaign-finance reform legislation because it would eliminate political action committees which donate money to congressional candidates and members of Congress. "Political action committees aren`t the problem and banning them is not the solution. They are the most regulated of all campaign-finance entities, subject to full disclosure and accountability, with limits on contributions received and contributions made," ADA President Dr. Ten Pas said in letters sent to every member of the Senate.
