When it came time to assemble the educational program, Carestream Dental reached out to previous Summit attendees for their valuable feedback. That’s how Dawn Hill, Jan Odell, Angie Minks, Misty Mattingly, Jerilyn Bird, Barb Nissen, Carol Chambers and Barb Houser became the most important members of the program design process. The volunteers had indicated at a previous Summit that they’d be willing to provide insight on future conferences and were invited to join the team program committee. With their real world experience as their most valuable asset, the mix of office managers and practice operations officers played a vital role in reviewing all purposed sessions to ensure that the educational program Carestream Dental launched was tailored to specifically meet the needs of real practices and software users.
“I feel it’s such an honor to be part of the program advisory group,” Barb Houser RDA, FAADOM, officer manager, Pella Family Dentistry, said. “It means a lot to know that our opinions matter and can make a difference.”
An internal team at Carestream Dental made up of user experience (UX) designers and software trainers put the final touches on the educational program, resulting in more than 70 courses and learning opportunities that help attendees discover industry trends; boost their software skills; enhance the patient experience; improve the efficiency of day-to-day operations; and promote their practices.
“Our office is very high tech and we like being on the cutting edge of what is on the horizon,” Houser said. “It’s great being part of the process that brings that to fruition. We had so much fun and learned so much at last year’s Global Oral Health Summit We are excited to return this year!
