I have it—You want it! Quick-Stat Hemostatic Agents by Vista Dental Products
Fluid control around preparations is essential for achieving good and accurate impressions. Fluid in the sulcus can lead to inaccurate impressions, resulting in retakes that are costly in time and materials. Thankfully, there are high-quality products from Vista that can help.
Vista Quick-Stat Hemostatic Agents are available in a liquid and in two gel formulations. Quick-Stat Liquid is 15.5% ferric sulfate and works in a matter of seconds to eliminate sulcular fluid for both impressions and cementation. Quick-Stat Gel, which is 20% ferric sulfate, also works in seconds on both hard and soft tissues. Quick-Stat Free is a 25% aluminum chloride clear gel that is nonstaining, making it ideal in the esthetic zone. It is also quite viscous, which means it will penetrate the tissue but not flow to adjacent areas.
The liquid is available in either a 30 mL bottle or 30 mL syringe, while the gels are available in either 1.2 mL or 30 mL prefilled syringes. Furthermore, the unique Stat-Flo Tip has a curved cannula, so you can easily see where you are placing the material. A padded, “fuzzy” applicator allows you to gently rub it onto cut capillaries. Clearly this is the quick-est way to ensure a dry, clear field for accurate impressions and perfect cementation.
