Recently I was talking to a colleague about the places we lived when we were in dental school. We both lived in not-great apartments near each other in the Medical Center of San Antonio. One thing I remember vividly is how terrible the bathroom was in that apartment. It was small, cramped, and miserable to be in, but it was all I knew at the time. I had no idea what I was missing.
When I compare it to my bathroom now, it’s so drastically different. My current bathroom is so much roomier and more comfortable. It’s sort of like the Pro Wash/Dry by SprintRay. I had no idea what I was missing until I got it!

The Pro Wash/Dry is the slickest and best way to clean your 3D prints. It is a fully automated, self-contained washing and drying system that simplifies your post-3D print workflow. For anyone who has handled anything that’s been 3D printed, you know what a mess the prints are afterward—it’s just the nature of the beast. The prints (and the build platform) have a bunch of gooey, sticky uncured resin all over them. In the past, I had a postprocessing workflow like my dental school apartment—not great. I used an old ultrasonic bath with dirty isopropyl alcohol in it. It was not slick at all. The Pro Wash/Dry is like my bathroom now! It just makes every day easier.
Once your print is finished on your SprintRay 3D printer, remove the build plate from the printer and put it in the Pro Wash/Dry to start the processing. It has three basic cycles. Two of the cycles are agitated washes with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The Pro Wash/Dry has two separate chambers for IPA, stage one and stage two. Stage one does the preliminary wash. This runs for a few minutes as the motor-run agitator bathes every nook and cranny of the print with alcohol. Once that stage finishes, the second stage begins. This is a bit more delicate of a wash with fresh IPA from chamber two. Having two separate chambers and stages for washing gives a better overall wash with less IPA. Once stage two is complete, then the print is dried with warm air. The entire process takes 10 minutes; it’s basically “set it and forget it. “
The only maintenance required is pretty simple. You’ll need to make sure you have enough IPA in the chambers. There is a precalibrated hydrometer system that lets you know when you need to change out the IPA. Even that process is simple with the Pro Wash/Dry draining system. The Pro Wash/Dry even lets you know when it needs to have the filter cleaned, a process that takes less than a minute. From a maintenance and effort perspective, the Pro Wash/Dry is about as simple as it gets. It has made the postprocessing aspect of my 3D printing simple and clean.
