The Internet can be a great place for children to explore. There is a wealth of knowledge out there. You do need to be very careful when your kids are "surfing the net." Many sites in cyberspace are not suitable for young eyes. I list below a number of fun and interesting places for children to visit. They are great starting points for you and your children or grandchildren. Take the trip with them ... you will both be entertained and enlightened.

Family.Com: (www.family. com) This is a page created by the Disney people. Many activities and feature articles are here, as well as areas about education, parenting, food, and travel.

Kid`s Links: (ucunix.san.uc. edu/~edavis/kids-list/kids.html) This site has numerous links to fun places for kids to visit.

Mining Company: (www.min ingco.com/family) Here, you will find links to kids sites, teen sites, and parenting sites, as well as articles on kid`s issues, ranging from learning disabilities to art.

Kid`s Domain: (www.kidsdo main.com) On this site, you will find games, play sites, contests, and many other activities.

You Can: (www.youcan.com/ index.html) At this site, you can find answers to some very common questions. You can also view interactive demonstrations as well. This site is fun for those inquisitive minds.

Science Net: (www.sciencenet. org.uk) This is a one-stop science site. You will find a wealth of information on different science subjects. This place can be very useful while completing homework assignments.

How Stuff Works: (howstuff works.com) This is a place to learn about how things work in the world around us. You will find sections on engines, "around the house," electronics, technologies, computers, food, your body, and others.

Linkasaurus: (www.linkasaurus. com) Here you will find sections on discoveries, comics, celebrities, musicians, television, movies, reference, zoos, museums, toys, books, government, sports, food, and others.

4Kids: (www.4kids.org) This is a place to find fun, educational, and safe places to visit on the Web.

Kid`s Town: (www.cybertown. com/kidtwn.html) Here, you will find a collection of great sites for kids.

Pathfinder: (www.pathfinder. com/@@koGX:QQAzQoOS8mg/Pathfinder/kidstuff/links.html) This site is described as "cool sites in cyberspace." You will find a virtual tour of the White House, a hall of dinosaurs, global show and tell, and more.

Kids Health: (www.kidshealth. org) This site has sections where kids, parents, and professionals can learn to better understand kid`s health issues.
