You`ve heard of the Oscars? Of course! And you know the Tonys and the Grammys, but what about the Joeys? In honor of our tireless editor, Dr. Joe Blaes, I have come up with a new award for "Excellence in Web Sites."

You`ve heard of the Oscars? Of course! And you know the Tonys and the Grammys, but what about the Joeys? In honor of our tireless editor, Dr. Joe Blaes, I have come up with a new award for "Excellence in Web Sites."

Of course, this is all done for fun, but I hope to educate you about a potpourri of sites that are either very useful or very enjoyable. For you Internet rookies out there, here`s a list of great sites to start you on your journey on the World Wide Web. For you Internet veterans, I hope I have found some new sites for you to visit and enjoy. Bookmark these sites - they will be useful to you on a daily basis!

* There are some great online financial resources. For calculating just about anything you might want, the winner is: www.moneyadvisor.com/calc. For general financial information, the winner is www.investorama.com, and for getting up-to-date financial news and headlines, the winner is finance.yahoo.com.

* Do you love to find all sorts of free stuff on the Internet? If so, then you will love the co-winners of this category: www.soprano.com/frees.asp, and www.thefreesite.com.

* In the category of fun sites to visit, we have four winners. First, we have the "keep that sexy smile" winner at www.drbukk.com. For a large source of utility programs and useful fun things, the winner is www.tricksandtrinkets.com/archives.htm. For totally useless trivia, the Joey goes to www.wackyuses.com.
