Click here to enlarge imageThirty patients were selected for participation in a clinical evaluation of in-office tooth whitening utilizing Rembrandt Lightning Plus gel with Rembrandt Sapphire PAC light and Rembrandt Whitening Crystal. The gel contains 35% hydrogen peroxide with potassium nitrate and sodium fluoride. Rembrandt Sapphire light and Rembrandt Whitening Crystal allow light activation to both arches during the entire treatment time. The light-cured dental dam included is highly effective in isolating gingival tissue and minimizing soft-tissue sensitivity. Tooth sensitivity experienced with Rembrandt Lightning Plus was clinically noted to be less than that of other in-office systems. While the amount of lightening was highly variable among patients, most achieved acceptable results after just one treatment. Those patients requiring additional treatment began with an A3 shade or darker. Each kit contains materials for two patient treatments: automix syringes of bleaching gel, light-cured dental dam, lip moisturizer, polishing toothpaste, accessories, and two patient Smile Maintenance Kits.
