American Dental Supply, Inc. introduces Freedom Oxide Lightener to its line of laboratory materials in the porcelain and alloy department.

Palladium/silver/copper alloys tend to form dark oxides after the oxidation heat-treatment step or during metal etching. Freedom Oxide Lightener reduces the dark oxides to pale gray be-fore porcelain application. This minimizes the discoloration of the porcelain and reduces the need for heavy opaque application as a mask. It is available as a ready-to-use liquid in 4 oz., 8 oz., and pint-size bottles. Beakers and acid-resistant tweezers are available separately.
