In-office plating eliminates the need for laboratory send-outs and return patient visits. Tinplating applies a layer of tin oxide to the surface of dental metals. This layer forms an excellent micro-mechanical surface that significantly enhances the bond strength of currently used bonding and luting systems to these metals.
The tinplater kit includes a tinplater complete with grounding lead and cathode probe, batteries, plating solution, plating-applicator tips, plating-solution receptacles and crown- and bridge-holder. The tinplater is under a one-year warranty.
