Demi™ Plus LED Light Curing System powered by Demetron™ Technology – Kerr has listened to its
Demi™ Plus LED Light Curing System powered by Demetron™ Technologycustomers and made some great changes to the new Demi Plus curing light. This curing light continues to employ periodic level shifting, or PLS technology, shifting output intensity from 1,100 mW/cm2 to a peak of 1,330 mW/cm2 multiple times throughout the curing cycle with a wavelength of 450 to 470 nm. PLS drives cool, continuous high output for a true five-second cure for composite shades A3 and lighter without generating excessive heat. When you have occasion to cure multiple teeth with veneers, you want a unit that does not shut down because of overheating. The Demi Plus has a whisper-quiet fan. A unique thermal control system keeps the unit cool for uninterrupted operation, and extends the overall life of the unit. The new 8 mm Extended Turbo Light Guide provides +28% better access for posterior curing procedures. The exterior is derived from Valox resin, which is made from 85% postconsumer plastic waste. The lightweight but highly durable material is chemically resistant, impact resistant, and withstands temperature extremes. The first self-cleaning "cap and swipe" battery simplifies charging. The Demi Plus comes with a three-year warranty. RelyX™ Unicem 2 Automix Cement from 3M ESPEadhesive resin cement seven years ago, giving it a proven clinical history that dentists have learned to trust. 3M ESPE has now created the next generation cement, and packaged it in an automix syringe delivery system. This provides easy handling and flexible dose dispensing to save treatment time. This new cement features enhancements to bond strength, mechanical properties, and esthetics. It delivers high adhesion, resistance to discoloration, long-term stability, and virtually no postoperative sensitivity. RelyX Unicem 2 Automix Cement is indicated for the permanent cementation of all-ceramic, composite or metal inlays, onlays, crowns and bridges, posts, three-unit inlay/onlay bridges, and all-ceramic, composite or metal restorations to implant abutments. This cement requires no etching, priming, or bonding. The syringe delivery gives an optimal consistency, and the removal of excess cement is easy. But wait, there is more. 3M ESPE has teamed RelyX Fiber Post and Unicem 2 Automix together for endo treatment. Since this is a self-adhesive cement, there is no need to worry about pretreating the tooth. An endo tip snaps onto the mixing tip allowing for precise application of the cement directly into the root canal from bottom to top. This greatly reduces the risk of air bubbles and voids. Slix™ Composite Manipulation Instruments from Premier®dental scene, we have all had problems with the material sticking to the instrument and pulling away from the cavity that we were trying to fill. We pleaded with composite manufacturers to make a material that was not sticky, but to no avail. We came up with ways of preventing the stick and pull-back of the material. Probably the one that worked best was wetting the tip with monomer. Premier has been working on this problem by researching a way to produce an instrument that does not stick to composite. Enter the 11 styles of Slix Composite Manipulation Instruments, which I think have solved the problem. The tips are treated with a revolutionary coating that provides superior nonstick properties, virtually eliminating composite sticking for easy placement and fast clean up. The instruments include all the popular tips, and the ergonomic handles are manufactured from an advance technology polymer with medical-grade silicone grips. These instruments are surprisingly light and are a delight to use. ORTHOpix 3D Digital Study Models from Appliance Therapy Group (ATG)did orthodontic treatment in my general practice was keeping track of the large number of models. In this digital age, my friends at ATG have come up with a great solution – ORTHOpix 3D digital study models. Imagine high-resolution study models that are accurate with no chipping and no worry of dropping them. Imagine being able to access models quickly and securely from any computer. Imagine eliminating the storage of all models and the valuable office space you will free up. Models are safely backed up on the ORTHOpix servers for 15 years at no cost to you. My practice is limited to restorative dentistry now, but I will be using ORTHOpix for my before-and-after models. You have the option of sending either stone models or impressions. I would encourage you to use a VPS impression material for greater accuracy. If you require plaster study models, ORTHOpix offers study model fabrication. The Calamus Dual 3D Obturation System by DENTSPLY Tulsa Dental Specialtiesfrom my lectures and seminars, I quit doing endo a long time ago (picture hand reamers and files). But if I had some of the many products and training that Tulsa Dental offers, I would never have quit. An excellent example of the company's products is the new Calamus Dual, which brings the Flow and the Pack together in one convenient, space-saving system. Use the Pack to create an effective apical plug; then use the Flow to deliver the gutta-percha backfill at the perfect temperature and flow rate. This convenient obturation system offers a backfill handpiece and a downpack handpiece in one unit that is easy to set up and incorporate into the operatory. This unit has a sleek design that requires a minimal footprint, and is simple to clean and maintain. The Calamus Dual handpieces are ergonomic, easy to pick up, and comfortable to hold. An innovative 360-degree cuff on each handpiece makes activating it easy. From a purely economic standpoint, this is a cost-effective solution. Contact your DENTSPLY Tulsa Dental Specialties representative, at (800) 662-1202, or visit www.calamus.com.Picasso Lite™ Soft Tissue Dental Laser from AMD LASERS™ – If you have been thinking about incorporating

Picasso Lite™ Soft Tissue Dental Laser from AMD LASERS™a dental laser into your practice but have been hesitant because of the cost or complexity of lasers, then I invite you to take a serious look at the Picasso Lite. This unit is ideal for first-time laser dentists because it offers 2.5 watts of power, three customizable presets, and the option of using disposable tips or strippable fibers. I like the disposable tips. You will also like the price of the Picasso Lite, which is much less than you might think. For more information or to order, call (866) 999-2635 or visit www.amdlasers.com.MiraTray® Implant Advanced impression tray with foil technology from Hager Worldwide – This new impression tray makes taking impressions of implants easy because of the patented foil technology.
