Do not cut preventive and primary care for children, including dental care, when Medicaid spending is trimmed, the American Dental Association urged President Clinton. The letter, signed by the group`s top officials, urged the White House to preserve "basic health services for needy children." Separately, a study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said one out of four children goes without health insurance for at least a month during the first three years of life.
