Unident has released DentalMac 3.9.7, the latest version of a popular practice-management system for the Macintosh® operating system. It offers enhanced reporting and scheduling capabilities, Year 2000 compatibility, as well as improvements that make patient-recall tracking easier. DentalMac 3.9.7 also is compatible with Mac OS 8.1 and the latest LaserWriter drivers.

The DentalMac system currently handles patient information, charges, and billing; insurance submission (electronic and paper claims); scheduling; dental charting; multi-media functions such as audio, video, intraoral and extraoral photographs; professional correspondence with a built-in word processor; and extensive reporting capabilities.
