Our office disagrees with the Ophone callO section. In our office, the doctor is always informed when another doctor calls. We never tell another doctor that Oour doctor is with a patient.O We say, OTell Dr. Jones that I will see if Dr. Smith can come to the phone.O Then, OWe are at a point in a procedure where Dr. Smith can?t come to the phone. Can Dr. Smith call you back ?O

We consider that professional courtesy involves more than OThe doctor is with a patientO to another doctor.
